Public Art Initiatives

Public art helps tell the story of a community, create memorable experiences, and enhance the places where people live, work, and visit. The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce is working with community partners to explore and support public art opportunities that celebrate Rhinelander's unique character while creating engaging spaces for residents and visitors alike.

Whether you are an artist, property owner, business owner, or community member, we invite you to learn more about our current projects and discover ways to get involved.

Downtown Interactive Mural Project

The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking qualifications from artists interested in designing and creating a large-scale interactive mural in Downtown Rhinelander.

The vision for this project is to create a vibrant, visually engaging piece of public art that encourages visitors and residents to stop, interact, and capture memorable photos while celebrating the spirit of Rhinelander.

Artists interested in being considered for this opportunity are encouraged to review the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and submit their information through the online application form.

Public Art Location Survey

Do you own or manage a building, wall, or property that could serve as a future public art location?

As Rhinelander explores opportunities for murals and other public art installations, we are seeking potential sites throughout the community. Identifying possible locations now will help guide future projects and connect artists with property owners interested in participating.

If you have a location you would like considered, we invite you to complete the Public Art Location Survey.

Community Partners

Public art is a community effort. From artists and property owners to nonprofit organizations, civic leaders, businesses, and volunteers, these projects are made possible through collaboration and shared investment in the future of Rhinelander.

We are proud to work alongside organizations and individuals who believe in the power of art to create vibrant places, strengthen community identity, and enhance the experiences of residents and visitors alike.

Partner Organizations

Interested in partnering on a future public art project? We'd love to hear from you.
