The 4th of July Parade Committee is already hard at work organizing this year’s parade festivities.

The annual parade will be held Tuesday, July 4, at 11 a.m. The theme this year is America: Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly.

While some downtown roads may currently be under construction, all the construction work is slated to be finished before the 4th of July. Parade coordinators are currently planning for the parade route to be back to normal. The parade will start at the Rhinelander Police Station on Frederick Street then run south on Brown Street and finishing up by running north on Courtney Street to Rives Street.

"Rhinelander’s 4th of July parade is a tradition for so many," said RACC Executive Director Maggie Steffen. "This year’s parade is undoubtedly special as Rhinelander residents and visitors will get to experience the parade in the newly renovated downtown!"

Area businesses, families, schools, groups and non-profits are encouraged to participate. Applications can be picked up at the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce.

Antique cars, new or sharp cars and trucks are needed to lead sponsored units. Awards will be given to the following parade unit categories: Non-Profit, Business, Marching and General.
