Event Description:
Registration for the 5K and 10K is $30 on or before June 9th and $35 after June 9th. A group of 10 or more will receive a 15% discount per entry.
The YMCA of the Northwoods is excited to announce the 13th Annual Hodag Run For Your Life. This race
will take place on Saturday, June 22nd, at Hodag Park.
The 10K Run, sponsored by Habush, Habush, & Rottier S.C., will begin at 8:30AM, followed by the 5K
Run/Walk and Stroller Division, sponsored by Superior Diesel. These runs will have routes running
north into Pine Lake out onto Manor Road.
The FREE Kids Chase the Hodag, sponsored by the Rhinelander Kiwanis Club, takes place at 10:00AM.
The first 200 youth participants receive a free race t-shirt and all participants receive a souvenir numbered race bib. This race is for ages 12 years old and younger with registration the day of the event. Parents are encouraged to run with their children or carry them on their shoulders.
Each year the race attracts hundreds of area residents and summer visitors to the area. All preregistered participants will receive an official Hodag Run t-shirt. T-shirts will be available on the day of the race, but not guaranteed unless registered by June 9th. The closing ceremony will award custom Hodag Run medals to the top three male and female finishers in each age bracket. The top overall male and female finishers in each race will receive a special coveted Hodag Award.
Businesses are encouraged to register for the Corporate Cup Challenge. The winner of this challenge is the team with the most finishing participants. This winner will receive a special Hodag plaque to hang up at their business. The Corporate Cup Trophy, housed and displayed at the Y, displays each year’s corporate winner.
PLUS…A Free Kids Carnival will also take place during the Hodag Run from 8:00-11:00AM. Keep your eyes open for more details about this carnival as it gets closer to the event date of Saturday, June 22nd.
