G-WOW! Changin Climate, Changing Culture

Climate change and its potential to impact the local environment, long-standing cultural traditions, and area economies will be discussed at a free presentation given by Cathy Techtmann who is the University of Wisconsin-Extension Environmental Outreach State Specialist. She was instrumental in creating the G-WOW climate literacy model, a service-learning based curriculum designed increase knowledge of climate change. The initiative integrates scientific climate change research with place-based evidence of how climate change is affecting traditional Ojibwe culture.
