Hodag Waterski Shows first started in 1971, with their first show on the Fourth of July.  Many of the current members are second generation members, with new members joining all the time!  Hodag Waterski Shows is a non-profit organization run by it's members and and rely on local donations and fundraisers.  All money raised goes to pay for the clubs expenses. Current corporate sponsors include: Shoeder's Marine and Mercury for the two 150 hp Merc Motors, Krapil Electric for keeping the lights on, DCI Building Center for the donation of all materials for the dock and wakeboard slider, and Hodag Towing, Custom Collision, Bikes and Boards, and Holiday Acres. 
 

FUN FACTS!

  • Boats - Malibu Inboard 350CI Mercruiser powered chevy V8 provides 260 hp and is used for single skier acts, and can turn on a dime.  The DYNE is powered by 300hp V6 Mercs and is for all the big acts!  The DYNE is specially made for show clubs only, approximately 6-8 are made a year by hand in Indiana.
  • The ski ramp is 5 1/2 feet tall, 22' long and 14', skiers hit the ramp anywhere from 30-43mph and travel 30-280'.
  • Barefooting requires boat speeds of 38-45mph,  "multiman line" will go by at 45mph
  • "360" - Boatdriver whips skiers around the boat.  Skiers reach speeds of 60mph in the fastest part of the whip.
  • Pyramid is 14' high when in three tiers!
Concessions available on site, bleacher seating, for lawn seating -bring chairs.  Don't miss the 4th of July celebration with fireworks following. 
Shows are Thursdays and Sundays, 7:30 pm, mid-June to mid-August.
Located in Hodag Park, just off Thayer St., in Rhinelander.
No admission charge, but donations are appreciated.
