Riverside Mindfulness:Staying Bright as the Days Dim

Ascension Koller Behavioral Health offers monthly Mindfulness and Meditation programs in Rhinelander that are free to anyone in the community.

“Staying Bright as the Days Dim” is the featured program for September and will be offered on Tuesday, September 24 from 1-2:30 p.m., at Ascension Koller Behavioral Health, 1020 Kabel Avenue in the 2nd floor conference room.  Advanced registration is not required.

Ascension Koller Behavioral Health also offers the Riverside Meditation Group. In September, the Riverside Meditation Group will be held on Thursday, Sept 5 and 19 from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.  

Riverside Meditation Group is an opportunity for anyone with a meditation practice to have regular group support. There are two twenty-minute seated meditations with either walking meditation or Qigong in between. The meditation model is silent and still with occasional guided meditations.  At the end a short talk focusing on enhancing skills of mindfulness and meditation.  The Riverside Meditation Group draws from western psychological mindfulness teachings, philosophy, literature, and poetry.
