  • Due to a recent surge in COVID-19 cases throughout our region, it is vital that critical precautions be taken now in the interest of the health and safety of our families, neighbors and area businesses.

In Wisconsin, it’s in our nature to do right by our friends and neighbors. While visiting Rhinelander or patronizing Rhinelander Area businesses, please wear a mask when out in public, sanitize your hands often, keep gatherings small, maintain proper social distancing from others and aspire to be kind and understanding to all.

As you patronize businesses, please know that hours and operations may look different than normal. Reach out to businesses in advance to learn about their expectations, safety precautions and changes.

Thank you for doing your part – We’re all in this together even from six feet apart. ❤

    Name: Customer Service Training
    Date: April 24, 2019
    Time: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM CDT
    Event Description:
Do you have new employees that could benefit from Customer Service Training? Do you want a refresher course for yourself?

Join us on Wednesday, April 24th for Customer Service Training presented by Regional Tourism Specialist Jeff Anderson from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce will host this free session for our Chamber Members at 10 am in the lower level conference room of the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce Building.

Research shows that 68% of your customers may not choose to return to your business, not because of the product that they receive, but because they experience an attitude of indifference or rudeness by the owner, manager, or an employee. While marketing our state as the Midwest's premier destination for fun, the Wisconsin Department of Tourism recognizes that in order to deliver on this brand and have visitors return to our state and your business, our customers must receive great customer service.

To support this, a customer service program has been developed for businesses and communities throughout Wisconsin. While the premise of the program is rooted in service for the tourism industry, the basic customer service skills discussed apply to owners and employees in all industries. This session will provide attendees with the basic knowledge and skills to deliver outstanding customer service experiences.
