Event Description:
‘Tis the Season of Giving! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be attending the annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting in downtown Rhinelander on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Festivities begin at 5:00 pm with the Christmas Parade with the lighting of the Holiday Tree taking place at Stevensport Square immediately following the parade.
To give Santa and Mrs. Claus a warm welcome, the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting all to enter their floats into the annual parade. Register by November 26 to secure your spot in the parade. A $5.00 donation is appreciated for all entries. This year’s parade theme is “The Season of Giving.” We are encouraging you design a float based around the things you enjoy giving during the Holiday season! Families, Businesses, Non-Profits - sign up now to get in the Christmas Parade and you could win $100 for best float/group! There will be a winner in three categories. All are welcome!
The Parade and Tree Lighting will mark the official kick-off of the holiday season in Rhinelander and holds a number of fun activities for you and your family. The kids will get to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus throughout the evening, there will be caroling, and cookies, candy, and hot chocolate. The Rhinelander Masonic Lodge will be open throughout the evening. Stop by to warm up with hot chocolate and coffee and enjoy some music!
