  • Share:
Name: Backcountry Winter Camping
Date: January 22, 2022
Time: 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM CST
Event Description:
Tired of being bothered by mosquitoes and biting flies when you go camping? The perfect solution – camp in the winter! Learn the basics of what is needed to survive a night in the wilderness in the winter and enjoy it too! In this introductory course we will not actually make a trek and spend a night in the woods, but we will set up a winter camp in the Nicolet Woods.

We’ll go over all of the equipment needed and how to use it, see some demonstrations and examples of techniques used for this unique experience, plus the instructors will share stories, advice, and photos from their previous trips. Note that we will be spending a fair amount of time outside so be sure to dress for the conditions.
