Asian Cuisine Tour - India
Name:
Asian Cuisine Tour - India
Date:
October 5, 2021
Time:
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM CDT
Event Description:
Expand your culinary knowledge and creativity with one or all of these hands-on cooking classes. You don’t need any experience or shop at a specialty store to make great Asian food – beginning with Indian cuisine with the first class, learn to make your own spice mixture (masala) and use it as a base to create Butter Chicken or Veg.
The next class will take your tastebuds to Thailand where you will learn to make a curry paste to be used in a stew served over rice. Korea will be our next stop – learn to make an essential base sauce that can be used for many marinades and sauces, on this tour we will be making a Korean noodle dish called Japchae.
The last class will take us to Indonesia and the Spice Islands for Nasi Goreng – a delicious fried rice recipe. You will learn to use ingredients you may have never heard of before, but also how to substitute using what you can find locally. There are 4 classes in total, but you can sign up for which ever lass(es) you wish. Class fee includes use of utensils, ingredients, and you’re able to take home what you create!
