Special Seasonal Activities
The Rhinelander Area has a full schedule of special seasonal activities to cover the rest of 2017. Read on for a list of special events and activities.
October 20th – “Not So Scary” Halloween Trail
Children and families trick or treat the Kiwanis Stoney Pines Trail for FREE at the YMCA of the Northwoods from 5:00-7:00PM. Refreshments and soup are served in the Y gymnasium.
October 21st – Fall Fest at Hanson’s Garden Village
Fall Fest was created to give the local community an opportunity to do fun, fall activities as a family. Proceeds from Fall Fest benefit the many community and school groups that help run the event. Activities Include: Petting Zoo, Corn Maze with Scavenger Hunt, Tractor Hay Rides to Feed Chickens, Children's Indoor Straw Bale Maze & Scavenger Hunt, Scarecrow Contest Display & Voting and so much more.
October 28th – Downtown Trick or Treating
Visit Downtown Rhinelander on Saturday, October 28th for Downtown Trick or Treating between 2 pm and 4 pm. Participating businesses will have a pumpkin in their window.
October 31st – Rhinelander City Wide Trick or Treating
Families will be hitting the streets on Tuesday, October 31st between 4 pm and 7 pm to trick or treat. For more information on having a safe Halloween in Rhinelander contact the Rhinelander Police Department at (715) 365-5300.
November 17th & 18th – Downtown Rhinelander Holiday Open House
The Holiday Open House is a Downtown Rhinelander tradition. Hit the streets to check out the steals and deals while getting all your holiday shopping done. After your long day shopping, visit a local restaurant for a bite to eat!
November 24th & 25th – Black Friday & Small Business Saturday Shopping
Make Rhinelander your Northwoods shopping destination this holiday season. Whether you are looking for a big box store or a specialty boutique – Rhinelander has it all. Black Friday (11/24) and Small Business Saturday (11/25) are sure to feature specials in all shapes and sizes.
December 2nd – Rhinelander Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting
The Annual Rhinelander Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting will be held on Saturday, December 2nd at in Downtown Rhinelander. The parade will begin at the police department on Brown Street and travel to Stevensport Square where Santa will light the tree and visit with the attending children.
December 14th-17th – Lights of the Northwoods
Rhinelander will shine for the Holidays between December 14th and 17th at Hodag Park. This all new event is designed to provide a beautiful holiday light display and feed the hungry in the northwoods. Food and monetary donations will be collected on site.
